Aveda Canada’s relationship with WaterAid began in April 2006 when the network raised $14,089.30 for clean water projects in Eastern Africa. Since then, Aveda Earth Month has raised more than $4 million dollars in support of clean water, basic hygiene and proper sanitation, including $548,000 announced this week from their 2016 Aveda Earth Month activities. Over that time, Aveda Earth Month has raised enough to provide 160,000 with access to a lasting supply of safe water.

Through the power of their salons, spas, stores, institutes, guests and, Aveda Earth Month, Aveda Canada is helping to reach thousands of children, women and men, and provide a much better chance at a healthier, safer and more productive life.

Over the next three years WaterAid Canada and Aveda are embarking on a partnership to provide 100% access to clean water in two of Madagascar’s poorest communities, Belavabary and Sabotsy Anjiro.
